Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

The 'soundness' criteria in section 3.4 can misalign planning with local needs, risking innovation and failing to embrace the community’s unique culture and aspirations.

Testun llawn:

I am deeply concerned about the ramifications of section 3.4 in the NPPF guiding our Local Plans. While the criteria for being considered 'sound' seem appealing on the surface, they may result in policies that are misaligned with the actual needs of our unique community. It is important to recognise that a successful plan is not merely one that ticks boxes but is also responsive to local culture, history, and needs. Imposing a rigid set of expectations may hinder innovation, creating a sterile planning landscape that does not cater to the aspirations of residents. We must embrace a planning model that is inclusive and celebratory of local context, rather than one that stifles it.
