While it's understandable that the council had to pause its work on the Local Plan due to the December 2022 policy changes, I am worried that this delay might lead to a lack of urgency in addressing our housing crisis. Many families in our area struggle with inadequate housing, and the final draft must reflect a balanced approach towards development alongside Green Belt protections. I fear the more we stall, the less likely we are to create sustainable solutions for our growing population, which must be prioritised in discussions.
