I find the proposed changes in the Local Plan quite alarming. Having lived here for most of my life, I’ve seen how this area has transformed over the years. However, the current proposal prioritises development without adequate consideration for our historical sites and the unique character that defines our community. The charming aspects of our neighbourhoods contribute to our identity; if they are neglected in favour of new housing estates, I fear we will lose what makes this area special. I request that the planners ensure a balance between progress and heritage, protecting our historical assets in the face of modernisation, as it's crucial for future generations to appreciate our local history.
